Problem
Australia is facing an increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, stress-related illnesses, and mental health issues, along with the growing need for mobile and remote healthcare solutions. Current healthcare solutions often fall short in addressing prevention, lack strong data-driven approaches, and do not provide comprehensive information to its users.
Burnout is as equally a mental condition as it is a physical health, they are inter-connected.
Main Reasons for Burnout:
Exposure to traumatic events: First Responders are regularly exposed to traumatic incidents and are often the first to arrive at scenes involving death, injury, or other distressing circumstances. This can lead to cumulative stress and increase the risk of burnout.
High workload and long working hours: Many First Responders work long hours and often have unpredictable schedules. This can lead to a lack of work-life balance, chronic fatigue, and increased stress levels.
Insufficient support and resources: Inadequate support from management, limited resources, and understaffed teams can result in increased pressure on First Responders, making it difficult for them to cope with their job demands.
Stigma surrounding mental health: First Responders may hesitate to seek help for mental health issues due to the stigma associated with mental health in their profession. This can prevent them from addressing burnout and other psychological issues early on.
Lack of recovery time: Insufficient time to recover and process traumatic experiences can lead to emotional exhaustion and burnout over time. First Responders often have to quickly move on to the next emergency, with little opportunity to debrief or reflect on the events they have witnessed.
Organisational culture: A culture that emphasises resilience, stoicism, and self-sufficiency can contribute to burnout, as First Responders may feel pressured to suppress their emotions and continue working despite their struggles.
Solution
CLR Health addresses these challenges by providing a portable medical device (CLR Med Hub), a cloud-based electronic health integration system (CLR UI System), and a mobile app.
Together, these components allow for accurate and instant diagnostics, real-time access to results, and comprehensive health assessments for first responders and corporations, with an emphasis on preventing, controlling, and remedying both physical and mental health issues.
